Tax consultants are important companions of the client in tax matters. They take over the communication with the tax office, check rulings and other administrative acts, file legal remedies such as the appeal and take over the representation in tax criminal proceedings in addition to lawyers. Accordingly, tax consultants have numerous rights and obligations, which arise in addition to the Tax Consulting Act (StBerG) also from tax and tax court regulations (AO/FGO).

1. The most important tasks of the tax consultant

In addition to various rights and duties, tax consultants primarily have one thing: tasks. These do not necessarily result from a legal regulation, but rather from the character of the profession itself.
