In recent years, many of our clients have converted their company to the digital future. In addition to the necessary hardware, they also use ERP programs with which they can process the accounting, financial accounting and many other business aspects of their company at any time and from any location. This is therefore the basis through which we as a digital law firm are in direct contact with our clients. Therefore, in this article, we present you with eight examples of how you can benefit from the digitalization of your company processes. Finally, we also discuss some of the many advantages.

Why we use interfaces

Digital processes have been entering the modern economic world for quite some time due to their multiple advantages. All actions required in business operations are now digital and thus help you to save your most valuable resource: time. As an entrepreneur, you can choose from a large number of specialized computer programs. These ERP programs offer different functions that complement and round off the basic accounting segment. Incidentally, the abbreviation ERP stands for enterprise resource planning and thus aptly describes the organization of business processes that are optimized by these applications.

In order to be able to support you as a reliable partner both competently and future-oriented in your business processes and tax matters, we use interfaces that also enable data transfer with your ERP applications. Therefore, we would now like to show you through which different interfaces we as a digital law firm are of use to you. This is only a selection of the eight most common ERP programs that we can use via interfaces for data transfer. If you have questions about other applications, just ask us. Eight ERP programs that we use via interfaces

2.1. sevDesk

The accounting program sevDesk is one of the most famous German-speaking applications on the market. According to its own information, it is popular with more than 80,000 entrepreneurs. Among other things, sevDesk offers the processing and management of both incoming and outgoing invoices, stock accounting and the possibility of recording working hours. From our point of view as a digital law firm, it is of course also important that sevDesk has an interface to our DATEV system. This enables us to interact digitally with our clients who use sevDesk.

2.2. Lexoffice

Another application program for accounting that is widely used in Germany is Lexoffice. This comprehensive ERP application also offers the possibility to establish a connection via interface with the DATEV system used in our law firm. Thus, we can be available to you as a Lexoffice user as a digital law firm.

2.3 FastBill

The third example in this series is also a digital multitool. FastBill supports you as an entrepreneur with functions that go beyond accounting, digital archiving of receipts or financial management. Our DATEV system is also able to obtain this FastBill data from our clients via an interface.

2.4. EasyBill

Confusingly similar to the aforementioned product, EasyBill is both in name and in scope of its services. EasyBill attaches particular importance to its orientation as a cloud-based ERP application. And of course EasyBill also has the option to transmit the data via interface to us as your tax consultant.

2.5 Billbee

Billbee is another ERP software product offered on the market. It particularly appeals to small to medium-sized companies, with online retailers being particularly in focus. Therefore, among other things, it offers digital connections to Amazon or other online sales portals as well as to us as your tax consultant.

2.6 Billomat

Billomat also advertises a wide range of services. Whether accounting, invoicing, administration or digital support when working via smartphone, Billomat offers all the usual applications that you as an entrepreneur can expect from an ERP software. It is therefore hardly surprising that Billomat also has an interface to the DATEV system. We are thus able to receive all data required by our clients digitally in order to meet their tax obligations.

2.7.WISO My Office Plus

What began more than 30 years ago as a business journal in public television has now also found its way onto the Internet. Moreover, WISO is also represented in the ERP application segment through a cooperation with the software provider Buhl Data Service GmbH. The WISO Mein Büro Plus program offers all the important functions that an entrepreneur can expect from such ERP software. Of course, the possibility of a data transfer via interface to DATEV is just as much part of the scope of the program as bookkeeping or the creation of invoices.

It should be noted that WISO My Office Plus, unlike most other competitors, is an application that is installed on your computer. Nevertheless, it offers the same opportunities to work via smartphone as the competing products based on the Internet.

2.8 Debitoor

Debitoor is another ERP application aimed especially at the self-employed and entrepreneurs. The financial transactions are in the foreground of the functional offer, with a simplified billing as an example. More than 700,000 users use this online-based accounting option. Via an interface, DATEV is also capable of a data transfer with Debitoor, so that the smooth digital sending of documents and documents to us as your tax consultancy is possible.

The interfaces of the various ERP applications with our digital law firm allow you to take advantage of many simplifications and advantages. Therefore, we invite you to evaluate in particular the following four points objectively against your individual background:

3.1. Support for the transition to a paperless office

Where only a few years ago cabinets were needed for storing invoices and other receipts, now other, more sensible things for you can find space. Your data is now available to you at any time and at any place from which you can access the Internet. This therefore also applies to the sending of documents, which used to be usually by post. So instead of carrying envelopes or packages with receipts to the post office, a click of the mouse is enough and we, as your tax consultant, receive the required documents.

3.2. Connection to your POS system

In order to meet the stricter requirements for proper accounting on the part of the tax offices, POS systems have now been introduced nationwide, especially in the retail sector, which in turn have an interface to the most common ERP programs. It is now possible to electronically process all cash information required for bookkeeping. This has also made it possible to keep a cash book paperless. This data can then also be transmitted digitally to us via the corresponding DATEV interface.

3.3. Automated monitoring of incoming and outgoing payments

Following on from this, we would like to cite the monitoring of ongoing payments as one of the great advantages in the digitalization of your company. On the one hand, you can be sure that you always pay your liabilities on time or even with the option of discount deduction. On the other hand, you can ensure that you always keep an eye on your own claims in order to initiate the appropriate steps if necessary to remind your customers of outstanding payments. You can even initiate this step automatically.

3.4. Simplification of archiving and access to documents and documents

Just as easy as the archiving of your documents and business documents, access to these documents is also possible via ERP applications. In particular in the case of an operational audit, this procedure facilitates the provision of the documents requested by the operational auditor. This helps all parties to complete the audit as quickly as possible. In addition, auditors often see this methodology as a sign of transparency.
